The Learning Support Center (LSC)
 

Mission Statement
The C.W. Post Learning Support Center is committed to providing a diverse student population with support services, strategies, and opportunities that will help them achieve their personal, academic, and vocational goals.

The LSC houses five separate and distinct units:

Academic Resource Program (ARP)
The ARP is a comprehensive support program designed to teach students with documented learning disabilities and/or AD/HD skills and strategies that will help them achieve their academic potential in a university setting.

Disability Support Services (DSS)
The Office of Disability Support Services is committed to providing equal access to all of the University’s programs and services for students with documented disabilities. The policies and procedures of the DSS office meet the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1972 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Program for Academic Success (PAS)
Students, who do not qualify for regular acceptance to the University, may be considered for admission through the PAS program. The goal of this one-year program is to help students become matriculated without restriction by providing a reduced course load, smaller class size, support services, and continuous evaluation during the freshmen year.

Peer Mentor Program
The Peer Mentor program is designed to aid incoming freshmen in a smooth transition from the high school to college environment. Peer mentors serve as experienced guides, advisors, confidantes and friends.

Peer Tutoring Program
The Peer Tutoring Program is internationally certified through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) and provides free peer tutoring to undergraduate students at C. W. Post.
