About Us
The A.C.E. Program, offered by the Enrollment Services Office, is a cooperative, concurrent program between Long Island University (LIU) and selected secondary schools in the New York area. This program enables highly qualified high school seniors and juniors to enroll in regularly accredited LIU undergraduate courses and to earn college credits while remaining in their high school setting. A.C.E. students earn college credit and high school credit at the same time. Unlike AP classes, A.C.E. college credit does not depend on one test but rather reflects the student’s work throughout the course. For over twenty years, local high schools have participated as A.C.E. schools in the program. A.C.E. offers a large number of courses in many academic departments.
Students apply to the A.C.E. program through their high schools. Preference is given to students who have maintained an unweighted cumulative average throughout their high school careers of at least 80 in core academic subjects (English language arts, mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, languages other than English).
Upon completion of the senior year in high school, A.C.E. students who matriculate at C.W. Post may be eligible for an attractive A.C.E. Scholarship, currently valued at $16,000.00 over four years. We invite you to attend our many special Admissions Events to help you decide to apply to C.W. Post as an undergraduate. To apply to matriculate at C.W. Post, A.C.E. students complete a special A.C.E. Undergraduate Application which is submitted to the Admissions Office (516) 299-2900.
