- The Application Form:
Complete the online
application. Be sure to answer all questions on the form.
Please note that applicants interested in the Information Studies
(doctoral), Social Work and Graduate Dietetic Internship programs must also
fill out departmental applications which can be obtained through
the specific academic department.
- The Application Fee:
You must pay the $30.00 non-refundable application
fee by sending in a check or money order to the Graduate Admissions
Office. Please make the check payable to C.W. Post/L.I.U.
- Transcripts:
Request two official copies of your undergraduate and/or graduate
transcript(s) from any college(s) you have attended. You may have
them sent directly to the Graduate Admissions Office at C.W. Post,
or you may wish to have them sent to you. You can submit the transcripts
in the original sealed envelope to us with any additional supporting
documents. Photocopies or student copies are not considered
official.
- Letters of Recommendation:
Letters of Recommendation should be from an academic source, preferably
a professor or academic official who is familiar with your academic
history and achievement. If you have been out of school for several
years, recommendations may come from your employer or supervisor.
Please refer to Application Requirements
to determine how many letters are required for your specific program.

the forms here to give to your recommenders.
- Graduate Admissions Tests:
Please refer to Application Requirements
for requirements for your specific program. It is the applicant's
responsibility to request that the Educational Testing Service
(ETS) forward official copies of GRE scores directly to
the Graduate Admissions Office. (Write to ETS at: Box 955 Princeton, NJ 08540). C.W. Post's Educational
Testing Service Code is 2070. GMAT results should be ordered at www.gmat.org. C.W. Post’s Grant Code is NNR-40-15 Miller Analogy Test (MAT) results
should be ordered from Psychological Corporation, 304 East 45th
Street, New York, NY 10017.
- Personal Statement:
Please submit your statement by mail to the Graduate Admissions
Office. Your statement should address the reasons you are interested
in pursuing graduate work in your prospective area of study.
- Additional Materials:
Submit any additional materials that are required by your specific
discipline to the Office of Graduate Admissions. Please refer
to Application Requirements
for requirements for your program.

- Scholarship Deadlines:
In order to be eligible for the graduate admissions scholarships,
applications must be received by July 1 for Fall Entry, November
1 for the Spring Entry and March 1 for Summer Entry. Applicants
who apply by the deadline dates will be considered for these awards
on a funds-available basis. Click the following for additional scholarship and grant information.
