C.W. Post Campus Transfer Guide

Undergraduate Course Equivalents

Although transfer students are familiar with academic programs and degree requirements, they usually want to know HOW credits already earned at their prior colleges will relate to baccalaureate programs at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. This guide provides an index of many courses offered at C.W. Post and their equivalents at:

  • Nassau Community College
  • Suffolk County Community College

C.W. Post will accept in transfer a maximum of 72 credits for courses taken at two-year colleges. The minimum grade for transfer is C-. Students transferring directly to C.W. Post upon completion of an associate's degree may transfer courses in which they received D grades, provided those courses were required for the degree.

Courses not listed in this guide generally are accepted for elective credit provided the grade is C- or better. Substitutions for core requirements are possible with the approval of the academic major advisor.

To determine the applicability of credits to specific major programs, contact the C.W. Post Office of Admissions who will refer you to the appropriate advisor within the Academic Counseling Center.

We welcome the opportunity to assist you in your transition to C.W. Post.
