The C.W. Post College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers:
- M.S. in Earth Science: Middle Childhood (Grades 5-9)
- M.S. In Earth Science: Adolescence Education (Grades 7-12)
The Master's program in Earth Science Education enables you to
become a New York State licensed middle or high school earth science
teacher. Students in these programs combine course work in earth
science with education course student-teaching opportunities.
Admission Requirements
Admission to the Earth Science Education program requires
the prior completion of a Bachelor's degree with a major or concentration
in the natural sciences.
Degree Requirements Requirements for the Middle
Childhood or Adolescence degree include the successful completion
of 36 graduate credits and the successful completion of comprehensive
examinations in both earth science and education:
Earth Science courses: 18 credits
Education courses: 18 credits
All students must meet all academic requirements of C.W. Post Campus
of Long Island University.
