Dual Degree Programs Offered
by Touro Law Center and C.W. Post
The dual J.D./M.B.A. Program
prepares you for a variety of challenging careers in law firms,
domestic and international corporations, not-for-profit organizations,
government agencies, and consulting firms. The J.D. degree,
offered by Touro Law Center, provides extensive training in
both fundamental legal theory and development of practical skills.
The M.B.A. degree, offered by the College of Management at Long
Island Universitys C.W. Post Campus, ensures a strong
grounding in the principles of business administration. The
dual degrees provide a comprehensive understanding of the interaction
between the business and law fields.
The programs unique strengths
include mastery of organizational processes and structures,
administrative and management techniques, and policy analysis
and creation. Earning the two degrees positions you for leadership
roles in the rapidly changing and integrating fields of business
administration and law.
Degree Requirements
The number of credits required
to obtain the dual degrees ranges from 108-117, as up to 9 credits
from each program can be transferred to the other and credit
may be waived for business administration course work. Pursuing
the dual degrees, as opposed to pursuing the degrees independently,
offers the advantage of reducing credit requirements by up to
