B.S. in Business Administration 
Our B.S. in Business Administration program gives you room to explore, grow and discover new possibilities. No matter which area of concentration you choose, you will receive a solid foundation in the most current business ideas and practices.
Business classes enable you to develop your business knowledge, as well as your communication, computer and research skills, so that when you earn your degree, you will have the tools you need to launch your career.
Your business classes are complemented by diverse courses in the liberal arts, ranging from history to sociology. You will gain experience in writing, critical thinking and oral communication — skills that are desirable to 21st century employers.

In addition to the general business core, you can select a concentration from the areas below that most closely matches your career interests and goals:
Finance – If you are interested in managing money, then our finance concentration could be right for you. Specialized courses cover all aspects of the global financial marketplace, and provide important preparation for diverse careers in corporate financial management, management investment and stock portfolios, banking, investment banking and the management of financial institutions, to name a few. International Business – Graduates with a concentration in International Business find themselves in demand, as more and more corporations have operations that span the globe. You can prepare for a career in international business (which can mean either working for a global company in the U.S. or working overseas) through classes in International Marketing, Global Financial Markets, International Management and Cross Cultural Behavior. If you love to travel and are curious about the world beyond America’s borders, you will enjoy the program’s cross-cultural managerial approach, its focus on international business operations, and its strategies for marketing to different cultures. Management – If you like working with people, have good analytical and behavioral skills, and are curious about how business works, a major in management may be an ideal choice. Through such courses as Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management and Labor Relations, Business and Society, International Management and Cross-Cultural Behavior, and Creating and Managing a Small Business, you’ll develop a broad knowledge of the inner workings of all types of commerce. Management Information Systems (MIS) – If you like computers and problem solving, a concentration in MIS, combined with the basic core business subjects, will give you a powerful set of skills when you are ready to enter the job market. Through such courses as Business Systems Analysis and Database Design, Management of Telecommunications and Networks, and Managing Information Technology and Electronic Commerce in a Multinational Business Environment, you will be preparing yourself to provide companies with the high quality information they need to conduct business in a competitive global environment. Marketing – If you are creative, like to write, to strategize and to sell, you might find that Marketing is the right area of business for you. Marketing, the discipline that positions, promotes and sells what a company produces, is a key element in the business equation.
As part of your studies you will learn marketing strategy and how to write a marketing plan. You will get practice in making product design decisions, master the best way to promote a product or service and understand the all-important area of customer service. Business Minor – If you choose to major in another area, but still want to master business knowledge and skills, you can pursue a minor in business. You can choose between a Basic Business Minor, which consists of 24 credits in required business courses or a 33-credit Comprehensive Business Minor, which includes a 9-credit specialization in one of the five Business Administration areas of specialization.
