Interfaith Center

The Interfaith Center is a magnificent two-level domed building. The top floor is a chapel with seating for 175, and the lower level is a large meeting room that can seat 100. The building is handicapped accessible. The upper level is perfect for weddings. The lower level is ideal for large corporate meetings.

Hutchins Gallery

Hutchins Gallery is located in the lower level of the library and is a magnificent showroom with a marble motif. In addition to hosting art exhibits, it is also used for cocktail parties and breakfast, lunch and dinner receptions. It can accommodate up to 70 people for dinner and up to 100 for cocktail parties.

Hillwood Art Museum

Hillwood Art Museum is located in the student union, Hillwood Commons. The artwork displayed throughout the gallery provides a unique backdrop for meetings and receptions.

Humanities Room 119

Humanities Hall Room 119 is a 200-seat amphitheater that is equipped with a sound system and an 8 by 20 movie wall. This room is handicapped accessible.

Life Science Room 139

Life Science Room 139 is an amphitheater that holds 200 and is equipped with a sound system and a 9 by 9 movie screen. This room is handicapped accessible.

Top of the Commons

The Top of the Commons holds 140 people and is the perfect location for meetings, as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner receptions. An adjoining smaller room holds up to 30. The Top of the Commons, which is located in the student union, is handicapped accessible.

Tilles Center

Tilles Center for the Performing Arts is a world-class concert hall with an auditorium that seats 2,200. The West Wing 1 room hosts smaller receptions for up to 200 people. The building is handicapped accessible.

Lecture Hall

The Lecture Hall seats 490 and is located in Hillwood Commons, the student union. It has a stage and is an auditorium. It is equipped for audiovisual use; it has a sound system and a 15 by 20 screen for multi-media presentations. The Lecture Hall is handicapped accessible.

Hillwood Cinema

The Cinema, which seats 300, can be used both as a video movie house and as a lecture hall equipped with a sound system. It has a stage and is an auditorium. It has a video projector with VHS player and a movie screen which is 12 by 20. The Cinema is handicapped accessible.

Classrooms

Classrooms, with seating capacities of 50-100, are available for workshops and meetings. Several small classrooms (with seating capacity of 15) are available for small group sessions.

Athletic Fields

More than 80 acres of outdoor space is available for corporate picnics, camps, trade shows, festivals and other special events. Tennis Courts are also available.

Residence Halls

The C.W. Post Campus residence hall system offers a variety of accommodations for conference attendees. The options range from traditional-style halls to suite-style accommodations. Listed below are descriptions of our residence hall facilities:

Brookville Hall

A traditional corridor-style residence hall with common area bathrooms. The rooms are carpeted. The top two floors also have large meeting rooms with chalkboards and a seating capacity of 60-75 people. This hall is air-conditioned. Total capacity is 325.

South Residence Hall

This is a suite-style building. Each suite is composed of four bedrooms and can house 8 individuals (4 double bedrooms with bunk beds). There is a semi-private bathroom (2 commodes, 2 showers and 2 sinks) and a common area in each suite. This complex is air-conditioned. Total capacity is 231.

Riggs Residence Hall

A traditional corridor-style residence hall with common area bathrooms. The rooms are not carpeted; this hall is not air-conditioned. Total capacity is 325.

Nassau/Queens/Suffolk Halls

These are traditional corridor-style residence halls with common area bathrooms. The rooms are carpeted; these halls are not air-conditioned. The capacity of each hall ranges from 140 to 220.

Services

Dining Services

The C.W. Post Campus has an exclusive in-house catering service that is dedicated to providing exceptional culinary creations prepared by executive chefs and served by a professional catering team.

Receptions, coffee breaks, buffets, formal banquets, picnics as well as other types of events are easily accommodated by this professional team. Please refer to the catering guide for menu options. If the options provided are not suitable for your event, someone will work closely with you to construct a menu for your specific needs. In addition, special selections, such as vegetarian or kosher meals, can be easily provided.

Audio/Visual Services

C.W. Post has an audio/visual department, which can provide equipment for your event. There are portable units such as slide, overhead and 16mm movie projectors, stereos, lecterns and microphones for audio/visual use. Events can be recorded (audio tape/video tape) for an additional fee.

The Campus technical support staff is available to discuss any additional AV needs that you may have, as well as, provide technical assistance. There is a fee for use and delivery of equipment as well as services.

Information Technology

Various information technology needs can also be accommodated for your event. There are meeting facilities on Campus that provide internet access should you require this type of service. In addition, data projectors are available for presentations. Please inquire further if you need these types of services or equipment for your event.
