The financial aid staff,
located in Kumble Hall, the Student Services Building, is trained
to help full-time and part-time students meet their educational
expenses through scholarships, grants, loans and part-time employment.
For all aid consideration, students are required to annually file
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS
Financial Aid Profile Form. Contact the Office of Financial Aid
at (516) 299-2338 for more information on these and other possibilities:
Tuition Assistance

of New York State, carrying a minimum of 12 credits per semester.
Part-time students carrying between 3-11 credits per semester may
apply for grant assistance through the New York State Aid to Part-Time
Students program (APTS). APTS applications are available through
the Office of Financial Aid. The Pell Grant Program provides support
for undergraduate students, carrying 3 or more credits per semester.
Students and their families must meet certain financial criteria.
Federal Direct Education
Loans allow full and part-time matriculating students to borrow
between $2,625 -$5,500 per year for undergraduate study and up to
$8,500 per year for graduate study through the Federal Direct Loan
program. The Direct Loan (subsidized) program is based on financial
need. Eligible independent students may also borrow up to $4,000-$5,000
annually for undergraduate study and up to $10,000 per year for
graduate study through the unsubsidized Federal Direct Loan Program.
This program carries the same terms and conditions as Subsidized
Direct Loans, except that the borrower is responsible for interest
payments while he/she is in school.
