to Compete for Scholarships
Teenage crime scene investigators will be
judged by real-life detectives and prosecutors
The C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University and Forensics World
will present the eighth annual CSI Challenge on Friday, April 4,
2008. High school students from across the United States are invited
to participate.

Scholarships for Winners
C.W. Post/Forensics World CSI Challenge
Scholarship
The C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University will
award a four year renewable scholarship to each member of the three
placing teams of the 2008 Forensics World/C.W. Post CSI Challenge
Competition. This four year scholarship is valid for full-time Fall/Spring
undergraduate enrollment at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island
University for new incoming freshman students entering in the 2008/2009
or 2009/2010 academic year. The scholarships must be applied to
the following programs: B.S.
in Forensic Science, B.A.
in Criminal Justice, B.A.
in Political Science or B.S. in
Biomedical Science with a concentration in Clinical Laboratory Science. You also have access to our Pre-Law
or Pre-Med
advisement programs. The scholarship may be combined with other C.W. Post scholarship
assistance but may only be used towards tuition expenses. Total
C.W. Post scholarship assistance may not exceed the full tuition
rate. Students must meet C.W. Post’s general admissions requirements*
and be accepted for admission directly from high school. Scholarships are non-transferrable.
First Place - Team members will receive a renewable
$3,000 scholarship per year, worth $12,000 over
a four-year period.
Second Place - Team members will receive a
renewable $2,000 scholarship per year, worth
$8,000 over a four-year period.
Third Place - Team members will receive a renewable
$1,000 scholarship per year, worth $4,000 over
a four-year period.
All students would be required to annually file the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Renewal Criteria – For renewal of this scholarship students
must complete 12 credits each semester and achieve a 3.0 cumulative
grade point average.
Note: It is estimated that there are 10-12 members per team.
