About the Director
John Lutz is Director of the Institute of Education for Social Justice and an Assistant Professor of English at Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus. He received a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature (1998) from The State University of New York at Stony Brook and an M.A. (1991) and B.A. (1989) in English Literature from Long Island University. He teaches philosophy and literature, postcolonial literature and theory, political philosophy and twentieth century literature. His most recent publications include articles in Mississippi Quarterly, Conradiana, Texas Studies in Literature and Language, LIT, and Research in African Literatures with forthcoming work appearing in Rethinking Marxism and Mosaic.
