We advise students to plan ahead, anticipate costs and budget resources. Your expenses should include tuition, fees, books and supplies, transportation, and room and board for resident undergraduate students. Your resources should include parents' contributions, employer's contribution, your savings, summer earnings, federal and state aid, and all scholarships or grants from outside sources.
In order to help you determine what costs you can expect for one
year as a college student, we have included average costs and credits
for our campus. C.W. Post charges a flat rate for undergraduates
registering for 12-18 credits per academic semester. These costs
are based on 2008-09 rates and are subject to change.

How The Financial Assistance Process Works
Applications for financial aid are considered after you have been accepted for admission to the University and your financial aid forms have been received by the campus. Financial assistance decisions are made on a rolling and funds-available basis so it is important to apply early. For maximum consideration for aid, these forms should be submitted for processing no later than March 1 of each year.
Throughout this process, students and their families should take care to complete all forms completely and clearly, and to pay careful attention to deadlines.
Note: All scholarships are subject to availability of funds. Some C.W. Post scholarships require separate applications with earlier and specific deadline dates.
New Undergraduate Students
Contact the C.W. Post Admissions Office and apply.
File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online
at www.fafsa.ed.gov using
the C.W. Post federal processing code #002751.
Once the C.W. Post Financial Assistance Committee has evaluated your request, a statement of financial assistance known as the financial aid package letter is sent directly to your home address, listing the amount of assistance available to you.
All new freshmen and new transfer financial aid recipients must notify the Financial Assistance Office of their acceptance or rejection of their financial aid package, in writing, within the required response time noted in the financial aid package letter.
Continuing C.W. Post Students
Upperclassmen must file the Renewal Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than March 1 each year online at www.fafsa.ed.gov using the C.W. Post federal processing code #002751.
