Academic Assistantships
All academic assistantship applicants must file an assistantship application which is available in the appropriate graduate department office.

Graduate Assistantships/Departmental
Graduate Assistantships are available on a limited basis. The student will have teaching responsibilities and/or direct assignments for working with undergraduate students. The Graduate Assistant receives tuition credit assistance plus a stipend.

Graduate Scholars Award
Incoming graduate students applying for their first or second master's degree may receive a $100 grant per credit if they have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better based on all work in their most recent degree. (Deadline dates apply - July 1 for Fall; November 1 for Spring; March 1 for Summer)

Note: If students are admitted as limited matriculants, the award becomes effective for the semester during which full matriculation status is granted and is not retroactive to previous semesters. This award is currently not available to participants in the Psy.D. and Ph.D. programs. For detailed information, contact the Graduate Admissions Office at (516) 299-2900 or enroll@cwpost.liu.edu.

Graduate Academic Award
Incoming graduate students applying for their first or second master's degree may receive a $50 grant per credit if they have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 - 3.74 based on all work in their most recent degree. (Deadline dates apply - July 1 for Fall; November 1 for Spring; March 1 for Summer)

Graduate Incentive Award
Continuing C.W. Post graduate students may be considered to receive a $1,500 per semester scholarship if they meet the following requirements:

  1. new Applicants must submit the Graduate Incentive Award application by July 1 each year.
  2. students must be fully matriculated and have completed 2 consecutive semesters of graduate coursework
  3. students must be registered for a minimum of 6 credits per semester
  4. students must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA for initial award consideration
  5. award is renewable by semester provided that the student successfully earns credits registered for and maintains a 3.5 cumulative GPA
  6. students exhibiting financial need as determined by the CSS/Financial Aid Profile will be given first priority.

Students must file the FAFSA annually, before March 1. The CSS/Financial Aid Profile must be filed once and during the first year of attendance with the appropriate processing agency. The Financial Assistance Office will then evaluate a student's eligibility for this award on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is exhausted. Students receiving assistantships, reduced tuition rates, or any other full or partial university scholarships are not entitled to this award. This award may only be applied to graduate tuition charges for the Fall and Spring semesters at the C.W. Post Campus.
