| Starting in the early 1960s, the campus experienced a growth explosion in both student population and building construction. Thanks to the Higher Education Acts of 1963 and 1965, which provided low interest federal loans for new buildings, and New York State Dormitory bonds, the university constructed Hoxie Hall, Roth Hall, Life Science/Pell Hall, the library, Little Theater, Conolly Gym, Field House, Music building, Quad Café (now Winnick Student Center), radio station, and most of the residence halls. Humanities Hall (shown here) was completed in 1967. |
