The Medical Biology Program offers graduate students a comprehensive
education in the basic medical sciences leading to the master of science
degree. If you are a student holding a baccalaureate degree from an
accredited college or university and wish to further your education
in the medical sciences in order to contribute to research interests
or to the improvement of the quality of life or health care, then
this program is for you.
Many careers in the medical sciences require advanced preparation
at the graduate level. Attainment of your M.S. degree in Medical
Biology may allow you to secure a position in health education,
a health care agency, medical center laboratory, medical, pharmaceutical
or diagnostics laboratory, management information systems and biomedical
research within the federal or state government or the private sector.
You may also opt to apply the degree toward additional educational
pursuits in a doctoral program.
All M.S. candidates in Medical Biology require completion of 36
credits (12 three-credit courses) distributed as follows:
Core Courses (4 courses, 3 credits each = 12 credits) for
