Panos Mourdoukoutas is a professor of economics at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. He holds a Ph.D. from Stony Brook University and has also held faculty positions at Pennsylvania State University and the Economic University of Athens. Professor Mourdoukoutas has traveled extensively throughout the world, lecturing in a number of universities, business, and community organizations. He is the author of several articles published in professional journals and magazines, including New York Times, Japan Times, Barron’s, and Edge Singapore. He has also published several books, including New Emerging Japanese Economy: Opportunity and Strategy for World Business (Thomson/South-Western, 2005), and Business Strategy in a Semiglobal Economy (Sharpe, Inc., 2006). In 2001, he received the Literati Club Award for the Highly Commented author.

Abraham Stefanidis is research scholar at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Athens University of Economics and Business and is a candidate for a Ph.D. in management scheduled to defend his dissertation in October 2008. His thesis focuses on business networks in the Greek shipping industry. He has been a lecturer at Agricultural University of Athens and Grant Thornton Greece and is the author of numerous articles in the area of business management.
