Arnold S. Winnick Student Center
The Arnold S. Winnick Student Center is named for the father of C.W. Post alumnus Gary Winnick who made a leadership gift of $1 million to support renovations of the building.
Located in the campus' residence hall complex, the Center contains the Winnick Residential Restaurant, which features a food court serving "all-you-care-to-eat" international and home-style cuisine. Meals are prepared to order by the chefs right before the customers. Choose from familiar favorites like burgers, pizza and vegetarian entrees to ethnic offerings including Italian and Asian fare. There also is a soup and salad bar, sandwich station, dessert bar and a large beverage service area. The restaurant often features specialty food nights, where you can enjoy prime rib, lobster tails, shrimp and Eddy's ice cream.
The seating area is complete with wireless Internet access for laptop computers at the dining tables and a big-screen TV. Students can eat in the Winnick Residential Restaurant or in the adjoining banquet hall called the Gold Coast Room. The facility is open to faculty, staff and students and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Downstairs is a large meeting room, the Long Island Room, for clubs and organizations to meet and hold events such as lectures and lunches. |
