Because of small class sizes, professors communicate closely with their students and stay involved in their lives. The student-to-faculty ratio is only 12-to-1 and our classes average fewer than 20 students.

· Financial Aid and Scholarship Offerings -- Each year, 85% of C.W. Post students receive more than $31 million in scholarships - money that students don't have to pay back. On average, students receive $5,000 in scholarship monies per semester. In addition, students receive $69 million in financial aid from other sources such as TAP, grants, loans and private donations. · Personalized Care and Attention -- On every level of the educational experience, students get one-to-one attention. From academic guidance in our Academic Counseling Center, to health counseling from a psychologist and counselors on staff, students get top-notch advice and information. The academic and personal support provided to C.W. Post students is second to none, with each undergraduate assigned to a full-time academic counselor to help them stay on course to successful completion of their degrees.
· Co-op and Resume Building - The majority of our students participate in some form of experiential or employment experience while enrolled in classes, no matter what their major. C.W. Post's award-winning Cooperative Education integrates academic studies with paid professional work experience. This nationally recognized program places students in one or more exciting work environments. Through Co-op students can build a résumé, try out different career possibilities, network and create a base of contacts for future job searches. We offer opportunities such as Pre-Law Night, PEP Career Fairs, the Public Relations Forum, Accounting Night, Teacher Education Career Fair, and the College of Management Alumni Chapter Career Night. Our office of Professional Experience and Career Planning (PEP) maintains close relationships with top employers in Long Island and New York City, and thousands of students have used their new career connections as springboards to great jobs upon completing their studies. C.W. Post also has an Employer Advisory Board comprised of major heads of corporations and non-profit organizations who are available for informational interviews, job shadowing and mentoring.
· A Safe, Nurturing Environment -- C.W. Post is committed to safety, wellness education and health care services for our students. Our Student Health and Counseling Center offers free and confidential medical, counseling, psychiatric and nutritional service as well as drug and alcohol counseling. We also offer an EMT and ambulance service and Disability Support Services. The Department of Public Safety is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors on campus. The campus security staff is extensively trained in emergency preparedness and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.
