Project Manager for Education & Outreach - Tilles Center (C. W. Post Campus)
Qualifications: A Master's Degree, either in Education or the Arts, is preferable, although candidates with a BFA in their field or a Bachelor's Degree in education will be considered combined with substantial field experience. Must have significant professional artistic experience in at least one major discipline (music, dance, theatre or visual art). Experience should preferably include certification, a significant number of years working as a teaching artist in schools, and/or comparable practical experience. Responsibilities: Acts as the primary liaison with school personnel (teachers and administrators) at after-school programs and focus schools. Working closely with principals, program directors and/or coordinators at each site. Co-lead core committee meetings with the principals, program directors and/or coordinators. Supervise and guide the work of the teaching artiest team leading classroom instruction. Facilitate planning among the teachers and teaching artists. Design and conduct professional development sessions for teachers and teaching artists both on-site and at Tilles Center. Plan and produce family workshop and performance events. Facilitate logistics of teaching sessions and attendance at performances, coordinate scheduling, file necessary paperwork with the Institute Coordinator. Coordinate and participate in assessment and research activities.
Hours: Requires flexible hours. May include early morning, evening and weekend hours as needed.
