Long Island Job Fair, Thursday, June 1, 2006
This event will take place on June 1, 2006 at Farmingdale State University from 2PM to 6PM. This is the only collegiate job fair on Long Island that reaches Long Islanders attending colleges throughout the country. Candidates can look for summer jobs, full-time jobs and internships. At least year’s event 80 employers were present, and over 400 college students attended. The college with the most students attending this year will receive $500 to offer a current student selected by the career center director. Nine-Month Paid Internship Placements in Germany – Deadline June 21, 2006
We are excited to announce the 2006-2007 Student service International - a Higher Education Administration Internship program sponsored by the Robert Bosch Foundation in cooperation with Deutsches Studentenwerk and CDS International. Associate Vice President for Human Resources

Position Description: Candidate will develop and implement Human Resources policies and programs for the University. The major areas covered are organizational planning, organizational development, employment, indoctrination and training, employee relations, compensation, benefits, safety and health, and employee services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the Human Resources function (eg., OSHA, EEO, ERISA, and FLSA), direction of the preparation of information requested or required for compliance, approval of all information submitted, acting as primary contact with counsel and outside government agencies, establishing wage and salary structure, pay policies, performance appraisal groups, employee benefit programs and services, and company safety and health programs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, must have experience with companies who practice effective Human Resources Management, generalist background with broad knowledge of health and welfare benefits, employment compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development, well developed administrative skills, strong management skills – principles and people, at least ten (10) years experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within the Human Resources field, thorough understanding of Group Insurance underwriting principles and rate development, and experience with union organizations.

Position Description and Responsibilities: The candidate will learn all facets of how a small business operation is run. IT Position - The NPD Group, Inc
This is an 18 month IT rotational program that will give exposure and experience across different areas within IT at the NPD Group, Inc. The new hire will be placed into three rotations at six months each within different IT departments. Upon successful completion of the 18 months, this individual will work with the managers to choose the area of IT in which to work. Case Planner/Caseworker, Harlem Downing – West Side Center for Children and Family Services
Position Description and Responsibilities: Under supervision of the Unit Supervisor, the Case Planner/Caseworker is responsible for monitoring prevention services to children and families. Candidate will conduct field visits, develop treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, provide counseling, maintain case records, lead groups, prepare all required documents (court reports, progress notes, etc.), represent the agency as an advocate, attend family court hearings, and attend required trainings.
