Public Relations Executive Training Program, Ruder Finn, Inc.
This is a paid program, offered three times a year in the company’s New York City headquarters and is well known throughout the public relations industry. Become a member of the GreenApple Corps!
The GreenApple Corps program of the NYC parks & Recreation is seeking AmeriCorps members. We are looking for candidates interested in improving the City’s natural environment who want to make a one year commitment to the GreenApple Corps, a federally funded program through an AmeriCorps grant. Work with our Natural Resources Group, Central Forestry and Horticulture division, the Urban Park Rangers, and Maintenance and Operations division to conduct projects aimed towards improving the City through environmental initiatives. Work on ecological restoration, urban forestry, and environmental education projects to encourage community awareness and involvement. Participants receive a living wage stipend of $560 biweekly throughout the program and an education award of $4,725 upon completion.
You will be working in teams under the guidance of a Crew Leader to solve critical environmental problems. Collecting field data related to the assessment and monitoring of forestry initiatives. Lading environmental education programs geared towards students and Parks patrons. Restoring natural areas including forests, meadows, salt marshes, and trails. Supporting community led or sponsored restoration, greening projects and special events. Willing to work in inclement weather. This is an outdoor program that is intense and physically demanding, and pushes you to the highest levels of performance and achievement.
Qualifications: Must be at least 17 years of age and a US citizen or permanent resident. Able to work at least 38 ours per week including occasional evenings and weekends. High School diploma or equivalent. Interest in environmental, public health, and/or urban issues encouraged. Strong communication and leadership skills. Highly motivated and adventurous. NYS driver’s license a plus. 30 or more College credits a plus.

Commercial Division Clerks will be assigned to work directly for a Justice in the Commercial Division and will be responsible for: Drafting decisions and orders. "DOI" Position - New York City Department of Investigation
Position Description and Responsibilities:Under the New York City Charter, the New York City Department of Investigation (“DOI”) is responsible for conducting investigations into allegations of corruption, misconduct, mismanagement and conflicts of interest. In 2006, the New York City Council approved amendments to the Lobby Law 3-224 to 3-228, which prohibit gifts by lobbyists to any public servant. Under these recent amendments, DOI will be responsible for investigating alleged violations of this law and for training the staff of the City Clerk’s office in matters related to investigations. The Director will supervise a staff of investigators and will oversee all DOI investigations into violations of the Lobby Law, under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner for Investigations.

Position Description and Responsibilities: Penn State is seeking an energetic, forward-looking librarian to lead in the development of the maps / geography library of the future. With over 350,000 maps, the PSU Maps Library houses the largest maps collection in Pennsylvania and one of the largest academic research collections in the nation. The head of the maps Library will lead initiatives to foster interdisciplinary use of the Maps Library and proactively develop services for undergraduate users as well as support the research needs of the university community. Leadership for digital projects which expose the rich resources of the maps Library collection to wider audiences is an important responsibility, along with participation in collective efforts to enhance use of and access to maps and geographic information. The head oversees the operation of the maps library and participants in the twelve subject libraries at University Park.
Qualifications: MLS form an ALA-accredited program; excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills, experience working with map collections and services and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.

Position Description and Responsibilities:Reporting to the head of the Manuscript Unit, the Accessioning Archivist oversees the unit’s accessioning activities and performs other duties relating to the processing of manuscripts collections, including the following specific responsibilities: Supervises the work of 2-3 FTE archives assistants assigned to accessioning and related activities. Routes new accessions to appropriate staff embers for cataloging and processing according to established guidelines. Surveys and evaluates collections in archival processing backlog and makes recommendations for appropriate level of arrangement and description. Processes manuscript collections to a variety of levels and catalogs manuscript and archival holdings. Undertakes special projects as assigned. Participates in library-wide planning and committee activities and is expected to be active professionally.
Qualifications: ALKA- accredited MLS or equivalent degree, with formal training in archival theory and practice. Strong knowledge of American or modern European history or literature and broad knowledge in the humanities, as demonstrated through academic degrees or equivalent combination of training and experience. Good reading knowledge of at least one modern European language. Familiarity with basic preservation and conservation standards for archival and manuscript collections. Familiarity with DACS. APPM, EAD, MARC, LCSH, AACR2, and other LC cataloging standards. Familiarity with automated library information management systems, such as Endeavor / Voyager. Familiarity with online union catalogs such as RLIN or OCLC. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Demonstrated supervisory experience. Ability to think creatively and work independently and collaboratively in a production-oriented, team environment.

Become a member of the GreenApple Corps!
The GreenApple Corps program of the NYC parks & Recreation is seeking AmeriCorps members. We are looking for candidates interested in improving the City’s natural environment who want to make a one year commitment to the GreenApple Corps, a federally funded program through an AmeriCorps grant. Work with our Natural Resources Group, Central Forestry and Horticulture division, the Urban Park Rangers, and Maintenance and Operations division to conduct projects aimed towards improving the City through environmental initiatives. Work on ecological restoration, urban forestry, and environmental education projects to encourage community awareness and involvement. Participants receive a living wage stipend of $560 biweekly throughout the program and an education award of $4,725 upon completion.
You will be working in teams under the guidance of a Crew Leader to solve critical environmental problems. Collecting field data related to the assessment and monitoring of forestry initiatives. Lading environmental education programs geared towards students and Parks patrons. Restoring natural areas including forests, meadows, salt marshes, and trails. Supporting community led or sponsored restoration, greening projects and special events. Willing to work in inclement weather. This is an outdoor program that is intense and physically demanding, and pushes you to the highest levels of performance and achievement.
Qualifications: Must be at least 17 years of age and a US citizen or permanent resident. Able to work at least 38 ours per week including occasional evenings and weekends. High School diploma or equivalent. Interest in environmental, public health, and/or urban issues encouraged. Strong communication and leadership skills. Highly motivated and adventurous. NYS driver’s license a plus. 30 or more College credits a plus.

This course is designed to teach individuals about basic income tax return preparation, and also serves to teach those who are interested to become a Seasonal Tax Preparer for the company. Electrical Engineer – Engineering Test Division
In this hands on electro-mechanical project engineering position, you will be responsible to provide concepts, designs and support construction of test setups that simulate normal operating conditions for a variety of electro-mechanical components. You will use customer requirements to develop a test plan, conduct tests and coordinate testing with other departments as well as prepare test reports. The ideal candidate will have a BS in electro mechanical engineering technology experience. Accounting Intern Required
Lakeland Industries, a publicly held manufacturer of safety clothing in Ronkonkoma, is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist in quarterly SOX compliance testing. The ideal candidate will be a college student majoring in accounting, preferably a senior, but at a minimum has completed or is currently completing the auditing coursework. Excel, Word and internet skills are a must. The hours, though flexible, must be completed during the normal business week (8:30 – 5:00 Monday through Friday). It is expected the ideal candidate will work a total of 150 hours from mid October through early December. This position will receive an hourly wage of $11.00 per hour.

Position Description and Responsibilities: Manage and monitor a portfolio of high-risk merchant accounts. Review and investigate Merchant accounts. Assess fraud and credit risk exposure. Position Description and Responsibilities: The Coordinator is responsible for the development, delivery, and administration of the project on the Grant campus in collaboration with Academic and Student Affairs colleagues college wide. The Campus coordinator will report to the Associate Dean of Student Services at the Grant Campus and the Director of Student Support Services. Duties and responsibilities include the following: 1) Assume responsibility for maintaining the project on the Grant Campus including the implementation of the record keeping system and evaluative database. 2) Articulate project objectives, procedures, and evaluation outcomes to students, faculty, staff and administration, and solicit suggestions for continued improvement locally. 3) Review student applications and/or records, identify students eligible to participate in Student Support Services, interview all program applicants, and maintain the target enrollment for the Grant Campus. 4) Maintain current knowledge of Student Support Services program requirements and expectations to ensure that the campus-based project operates in total compliance throughout the grant period. 5) Deliver direct services to the Student Support Services students on the Grant Campus. 6) Supervise local clerical work associated with the project. 7) Work collaboratively with the campus faculty and administration to ensure that the project’s operation is consistent with the overall goals of the Student Support Services Program, and that it assists the campus in serving its disadvantaged students. 8) Compile and submit quarterly and annual campus performance reports to the Project Director. Compile and submit preliminary monitoring and evaluative reports required by the Department of Education to document compliance with program regulation, use of grant funds, and achievement of performance objectives. 10) Work with campus administrators to develop a climate supportive of the success of Student Support Services participants.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, in education, social work, psychology, human services or a related area, and a strong record of accomplishment with similar projects or target populations. Preference will be given to candidates with a background that mirrors that of the target populations.

Position Description and Responsibilities: The VoIP Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the Voice over IP infrastructure throughout the entire University. Network Engineer – University Center
Position Description” The Network Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the network infrastructure for the University Center, including all Switching, connectivity and Firewall maintenance.
