Job Duties: This position is responsible for
providing on going maintenance and support for the LIU Brooklyn
Campus PC/LAN environments with timely, courteous service to
all campus departments. The technician is also responsible for

Responsibilities Include: Provide courteous,
professional customer service support to users in need of technical
assistance (both phone and field level support). Support desktop
and notebook computers (both PC and Mac) operating within a

Position
Overview
The Site Manager is a full year position based ont he Brooklyn
Campus of Long Island University, within the department of Career
Services. The primary responsibility of the Jumpstart Site Manager
is to manage the day-to-day operations of the campus Jumpstart
program in order to ensure that Jumpstart Quality Standards,
guidelines provided by Jumpstart, are met and thta the program
is meeting grant requirements. The Site Manager directly drives
Jumpstart's school success outcomes. The Site Manager works
in conjunction with key campus personnel and Jumpstart's regional
and national staff to implement the Jumpstart program model.
A full work plan and program calendar is provided to assist
the Site Manager in implementing the Jumpstart program.
Within
Jumpstart, a Site Manager is provided opportunities for professional
development and growth. Professional development opportunities
include (but are not limited to): training, facilitation of
trainings and field feedback.
Specific
Responsibilities:
1) Early Childhood Education & Training:
-Facilitate Jumpstart training series for Corps members.
-Observe Jumpstart sessions to monitor the quality of interactions
between Corps members and children and the implementation
of planned curriculum.
-Provide coaching and feedback to Corps members based on observations.
-Observe and support Curriculum Planning meetings to monitor
the quality of team collaboration, meeting facilitation and
the design of curriculum to be used in Jumpstart Sessions.
-Ensure the site is meeting the requirements of the Jumpstart
Quality Standards.
2) Program Management
-Plan and manage recruitment process; interview and select
all Corps members for site.
-Support Corps members in the completion of expected hours
requirements.
-Recruit and manage a Corps member to serve as a Volunteer

-Provide Corps members and Team Leaders with systematic supervision
and support, consistent and responsive management, and clear
ongoing communication.

-Cultivate and manage campus relations to ensure sustainability
and success of the program on campus.
-Work with Volunteer coordinator to plan and execute volunteer

and our corporate sponsors in our work.
-Contribute to the development of the Jumpstart brand by engaging
in local media and public relations activities, including

-participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with Jumpstart

-participate in twice monthly Regional Conference Calls.

POSITION
DESCRIPTION:
This position has a primary focus on leading new student (first-time
to college and transfer) recruitment and admissions counseling.
It incorporates a full range of admissions responsibilities
including establishing and strengthening: recruitment, admissions,
communications and enrollment plan for the University and
the Brooklyn Campus. The Director of UG Admissions will work
closely with the Dean of Admissions to set forth best practices
and policies related to the strategic goals and priorities
for admissions and higher education administration. The Director
will be influential in the guidance, training and development
of the UG admissions staff. S/he will be expected to monitor
the day-to-day UG admissions process by utilizing data and
projected enrollment goals. Additionally, the Director will
be expected to assess efficiency of the process and make recommendations
reflective of deadline sensitive and student-centered philosophies;
the Director will be familiar with and preferably have experience
in a SEM modeled environment.
Principal Responsibilities
• Lead, supervise and inspire the development and maintenance

The Director of
Marketing for New Student Admissions and Enrollment is responsible
for developing a marketing communications program that creates
a consistent message and visual identity to strengthen the
Brooklyn Campus’ position with all its key new student constituents.
The Director of Marketing will have full responsibility to
transform this unit into a modern integrated marketing communications
operation.
Key to this role will be the blending of traditional marketing
concepts in higher education with newly envisioned marketing
approaches (i.e. advanced use of technology and position branding
into new client bases) to increase student enrollment and
retention. The Director for NSE will be expected to integrate
campus-specific data, experience and national/global demographics
to inform the strategy development.
Principal
Responsibilities:
• Develop marketing
and communication strategy using traditional and advanced
methodologies of marketing and communication (i.e. technology).

- paper collateral; publications
- Website; other technology tools related to the internet

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Public Relations required
(other educational backgrounds will be considered.); Master’s
preferred. 5-7 years experience in marketing/communication
in higher education, student centered environment. Communications
background should include exposure to mananging public relations,
publications, institutional branding, on-line communication
and social media; strong writing skills and abilility to incorporate
visual brand. Extensive experience and understanding the use
of social networking, “cutting edge” use of technology and
media in the recruitment and enrollment of students. Strong
customer service and interpersonal skills required as well
