Job Duties: This position is responsible for providing on going maintenance and support for the LIU Brooklyn Campus PC/LAN environments with timely, courteous service to all campus departments. The technician is also responsible for installation and on going support for all PC related applications and hardware.
Responsibilities Include: Provide courteous, professional customer service support to users in need of technical assistance (both phone and field level support). Support desktop and notebook computers (both PC and Mac) operating within a LAN environment by diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software problems. Respond to inquiries regarding system status, network connectivity, hardware and software problems, mainframe access, password resets and similar issues. Install, maintain and upgrade computer hardware and software; physical labor required. Some heavy lifting may be required. Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems. Maintain knowledge of changing technologies. Train end users on basic software and operating system tasks. Travel to other LIU campuses to support the IT needs of users across the institution.

Job Duties:
Receive, organize, document, manage, create and communicate verbal, written and electronic information to support the activities in the Division of Social & Administrative Sciences of five full time faculty, nine to thirteen off campus adjunct faculty each semester, five graduate assistants who support PharmD faculty teaching and research and approximately 100 graduate students in two graduate programs. These documents of information will include, but not be limited to PharmD exams and graduate comprehensive exams, adjunct faculty and graduate assistant contracts and other documents supporting employment, faculty workloads, graduate student registration and course audits, purchasing requisitions, and responses to faculty requests.

Qualifications:
The candidate must possess excellent organizational, communication, and self-management skills including completing work in a timely and efficient manner and demonstrate professional work place behavior. The work will involve creating and checking the accuracy of electronic and paper documents competently using Microsoft Word, (with mail-merge), Excel, PowerPoint, desktop publishing, working with Google-Docs and other servers, interacting with ERP/PeopleSoft and moving documents from one application to another. Acceptable document creation and checking requires that the candidate can see and revise errors in grammatical usage, spelling, punctuation, and format in each type of document. We require that the candidate will be able to use a scanner and other office machines to support productivity, including scanning PharmD student exams. The ability to design and manage hierarchically arranged paper and electronic file systems, rather than leaving files on real and virtual desktops is essential for this position. Jumpstart is a national early education organizatioin that works toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed. By pairing nearly 4,000 trained adult mentors with underserved preschoolers for a full school year, Jumpstart helps children develop the language, literacy, and social skills they'll need to thrive in kindergarten and beyond. Position Overview
The Site Manager is a full year position based ont he Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University, within the department of Career Services. The primary responsibility of the Jumpstart Site Manager is to manage the day-to-day operations of the campus Jumpstart program in order to ensure that Jumpstart Quality Standards, guidelines provided by Jumpstart, are met and thta the program is meeting grant requirements. The Site Manager directly drives Jumpstart's school success outcomes. The Site Manager works in conjunction with key campus personnel and Jumpstart's regional and national staff to implement the Jumpstart program model. A full work plan and program calendar is provided to assist the Site Manager in implementing the Jumpstart program.

Within Jumpstart, a Site Manager is provided opportunities for professional development and growth. Professional development opportunities include (but are not limited to): training, facilitation of trainings and field feedback.

Specific Responsibilities:
1) Early Childhood Education & Training:
-Facilitate Jumpstart training series for Corps members.
-Observe Jumpstart sessions to monitor the quality of interactions between Corps members and children and the implementation of planned curriculum.
-Provide coaching and feedback to Corps members based on observations.
-Observe and support Curriculum Planning meetings to monitor the quality of team collaboration, meeting facilitation and the design of curriculum to be used in Jumpstart Sessions.
-Ensure the site is meeting the requirements of the Jumpstart Quality Standards.

2) Program Management
-Plan and manage recruitment process; interview and select all Corps members for site.
-Support Corps members in the completion of expected hours requirements.
-Recruit and manage a Corps member to serve as a Volunteer Coordinator
-Provide Corps members and Team Leaders with systematic supervision and support, consistent and responsive management, and clear ongoing communication.
-Manage Corps member files to Corporation for National and Community Service and/or Grantee specifications.
Prepare and submit reports on site fiscal and programmatic performance to Regional Office.
-Facilitate Jumpstart Summer Program to specifications designed by Jumpstart (may not be applicable to all sites).

3) Campus and Community Partnerships
-Build and manage high quality Preschool Program Partner relationships.
-Cultivate and manage campus relations to ensure sustainability and success of the program on campus.
-Work with Volunteer coordinator to plan and execute volunteer engagment activities to involve outside members of the ocmmunity and our corporate sponsors in our work.
-Contribute to the development of the Jumpstart brand by engaging in local media and public relations activities, including maintaining and updating site web page.

4) Jumpstart Natioinal Network Responsibilities
-participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with Jumpstart Program Director.
-participate in twice monthly Regional Conference Calls.
-Attend leadership Institutes annually and New Staff Training during first year.
-Support the development of National and Regional stakeholders by hosting site visits and engaging Corps members in events.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Overall responsible for supervision, management, direction and leadership of the Student Development Counselors. Responsibilities of the Director of Student Development will include, but not limited to:
~ Representing the Student Development Office and participate in University committees and with faculty.
~ Serve as primary Student Development liaison with/to academic departments.
~ Coordinate and control all Student Development Office Scheduling related to advising.
~ Construct Student Development Annual Report.
~ Coordinate hiring and interviewing processes and procedures for Student Development counselors.
~ Evaluate, edit and grant final approval for all Advising publications.
~ Track and monitor academically challenged students on caseload and coordinate counselor recommendations;
represent probationary students at Conolly College Academic Standing Committee every semester.

~ Recommend implementation of additional courses and creation of additional sections for filled/closed courses.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position has a primary focus on leading new student (first-time to college and transfer) recruitment and admissions counseling. It incorporates a full range of admissions responsibilities including establishing and strengthening: recruitment, admissions, communications and enrollment plan for the University and the Brooklyn Campus. The Director of UG Admissions will work closely with the Dean of Admissions to set forth best practices and policies related to the strategic goals and priorities for admissions and higher education administration. The Director will be influential in the guidance, training and development of the UG admissions staff. S/he will be expected to monitor the day-to-day UG admissions process by utilizing data and projected enrollment goals. Additionally, the Director will be expected to assess efficiency of the process and make recommendations reflective of deadline sensitive and student-centered philosophies; the Director will be familiar with and preferably have experience in a SEM modeled environment.

Principal Responsibilities
• Lead, supervise and inspire the development and maintenance of a top-performing admissions department; develop and implement strategic enrollment goals for increasing UG (freshmen and transfer) student enrollment; serve on campus-wide committees committed to student service (as needed.)
• Serve as a member of the senior management team where assessment and data-driven information will be used to inform and guide the Dean of Admissions with developing Office policy and practices. Oversee and enhance admissions processes and practices, including technology based business process; manage the admissions review process including incorporating automated decisions.
• Maintain a high level of customer service through contacts with prospective and current students; act as a student agent, adviser and advocate from pre-enrollment through students’ first year.
• As necessary, the candidate will represent the Brooklyn Campus’ on-campus programs at fairs, open houses, and to other interested individuals and at other recruitment events; overnight and long-term travel will be required.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Marketing for New Student Admissions and Enrollment is responsible for developing a marketing communications program that creates a consistent message and visual identity to strengthen the Brooklyn Campus’ position with all its key new student constituents. The Director of Marketing will have full responsibility to transform this unit into a modern integrated marketing communications operation.
Key to this role will be the blending of traditional marketing concepts in higher education with newly envisioned marketing approaches (i.e. advanced use of technology and position branding into new client bases) to increase student enrollment and retention. The Director for NSE will be expected to integrate campus-specific data, experience and national/global demographics to inform the strategy development.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Develop marketing and communication strategy using traditional and advanced methodologies of marketing and communication (i.e. technology).
• Develop marketing content for:
- paper collateral; publications
- Website; other technology tools related to the internet
- Advise and manage messaging for student counseling, presentations and dissemination of general inquiry response
• Creative messaging to impact funnel: search/inquiry, conversion, applicant, admissions, yield
• Update/Edit publications
• Advertising: media placement, design and message
• Monitor communication plan implementation; lead communication delivery and intake
• Assess marketing/communications impact; recommend and implement revisions to plan or evolve plan if there potential impacts for enrollment growth.
• Supervise, inspire and train the student visitor services including the “Admissions Visitor Center”; build within the team in- depth knowledge of student-focused and parental customers, markets and the product (i.e. academic programs, student support services).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Public Relations required (other educational backgrounds will be considered.); Master’s preferred. 5-7 years experience in marketing/communication in higher education, student centered environment. Communications background should include exposure to mananging public relations, publications, institutional branding, on-line communication and social media; strong writing skills and abilility to incorporate visual brand. Extensive experience and understanding the use of social networking, “cutting edge” use of technology and media in the recruitment and enrollment of students.
