Long Island University Announces Information Technology Partnership
with National Computer Training Company
 
January 11, 2002 - School of Continuing Studies of Long Island University today announced a new partnership with I/Tech Services, Inc. to bring professional Information Technology certification programs to the C.W. Post Campus. Founded in 1998, I/Tech Services, Inc. is the nation's first and largest college/community-based IT educational services network, offering a variety of innovative Information Technology (IT) education, training and content support services nationwide. I/Tech, a Microsoft Certified Technical Education Center (CTEC), currently enjoys partnerships with over 125 colleges in the United States. All I/Tech training programs feature official or approved curricula, certified trainers with real world experience, and state-of-the-art classrooms. Specific features of the Long Island University - I/Tech partnership include:

The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Windows 2000 Certification Program - a professional credential for aspiring IT Industry professionals who are qualified to analyze the business requirements for a system architecture, deploy, install, and configure infrastructure components, and troubleshoot system problems.

The Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) program defines the critical job roles and associated skills required to deploy today's e-business solutions. CIW certification can change your life, your income, and help you find ultimate success. Why CIW? The Association of Internet Professionals accredits the CIW program. The International Webmasters Association (IWA) endorses the CIW program. According to the book, Jobs Rated Almanac, published by St. Martin's Griffin, Web site managers have the brightest employment outlook, with a 500 percent increase in openings through 2005.

  • Conveniently scheduled day and evening classes, beginning in the spring to accommodate training for career changers and current IT professionals alike.
