| February 11, 2002 -- The Alumni Chapter of the College of Management
at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University will hold a cocktail
reception followed by a performance of the Dance Theatre of Harlem
on Friday, March 15, 2002. The cocktail reception begins at 5:30 pm
in Hillwood Art Museum; the dance performance will follow immediately
afterward in the campus' Tilles Center for the Performing Arts. Proceeds
from the event will go toward College of Management scholarships.
Graduates from the C.W. Post College of Management have a long
history of excellence. Members of the alumni chapter are employed
in leadership positions at such illustrious organizations as Hudson
Valley Bank, State Bank of New York, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory,
the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and various health care
facilities. Members of the Executive Board of Advisors for the College
of Management include Lawrence Bracken, New York State Supreme Court
Justice, and alumnus George Gatta, Suffolk County Deputy County
Executive.
The goal of the Scholarship Fund is to continue to make excellent
higher education accessible to as many bright and motivated individuals
as possible.

J. Sylvestri, a member of the class of 1966 and benefit chairman.
"Benefit events such as this cocktail party and dance performance
play a major role in realizing that goal. We are honored to host
the Dance Theatre of Harlem."
Tickets for the reception and performance are $350 each. The reception
will feature a 50/50 Raffle; tickets are $100 and only 300 will
be sold. Journal ads start at $750, a portion of which is tax deductible.
