July, 11, 2002 Managers clearly understand that balancing their professional,
family and personal lives is not an easy task - which is exactly
why the College of Management at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island
University is beginning an exciting series of Saturday MBA classes
starting September 7. This student-friendly series offers the AACSB
International accredited MBA (Association for Advancement of Collegiate
Schools of Business) to students unable to attend classes during
the week. Best of all, qualified students can complete their course
work within 22 months.
The Saturday class schedule allows students to acquire their MBA
(Master of Business Administration degree) without enduring a grueling
weekend regimen of nonstop study. The Saturday classes run from
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and include a half-hour lunch break.
Students get frequent breaks between courses. "People have
complicated lives," said Salvatore F. Cordo, director of the
MBA Program at C.W. Post, "yet they understand that graduate
education and training is needed to advance their careers. It is
our responsibility to make our valuable, internationally recognized
programs available for these individuals. Our job is to make an
MBA accessible to students committed to a course of study. We are
committed to the success of our students."
For those with an undergraduate business administration degree,
the 48-credit course load takes 22 months to complete. Those without
certain prerequisites can discuss ways they can cover those courses
with the MBA Advisory Staff. Students can also take weeknight classes
to cover Saturday courses they may be unable to attend.
To ensure that Saturday students needs are met, two responsive
MBA Advisory professionals personally oversee each individuals
process, from application to graduation. "This frees our students
to focus on their classes rather than on administrative issues,"
said Cordo. Students also benefit from a new on-campus MBA Center
that includes comfortable study and work areas, networked connectivity
and workstations.
The application deadline for September classes is August 15th.
