The C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, N.Y.
recently opened a new Graduate Student Center in Roth Hall to serve
as headquarters for its AACSB-accredited Master of Business Administration
program and as a study area for the College of Managements
graduate students.
"This center will bring together in one area all the resources
of the MBA program, including academic advising," says Robert
J. Sanator, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Management. "It will
be a place where students can meet, work together, conduct research,
consult with advisors and meet with faculty. It will give all of
our graduate students a sense of community."
The center features separate work areas with tables, desks, computers
with Internet connectivity, laptop ports, printers and copiers.
Alongside these two work areas are staff offices, advisement offices
and the office of Salvatore F. Cordo, MBA Director at C.W. Post.
The renovations were made possible by a generous donation from Michael
and Barbara Bivona. Michael, a Certified Public Accountant and retired
Chief Financial Officer of Manchester Technologies, Inc., graduated
in 1960 with a B.S. in Business from Long Island Universitys
Brooklyn Campus.
The Michael Bivona Graduate Student Center will be open from 9 a.m.
to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday to accommodate the needs of students
taking evening courses. "This new center parallels the serious,
professional environment that pervades our programs," says
Cordo. "It well expresses our commitment to our students."
The Bachelors and Masters degree programs awarded by
