Recognized for his Support and Advocacy on Behalf of Women
March 11, 2003 Matthew C. Cordaro, Chair of the Department
of Health Care & Public Administration and Director or the Center
for Management Analysis, was honored by the Nashville Women's
Political Caucus for his activities there in the 1990s, when he
was president of Nashville Electric Service. The group honors men
who have taken an active role in helping women to advance both personally
and professionally. Dr. Cordaro was selected as a recipient of the

Records Act which gave protection to personal information of abused
spouses. Other recipients of the award include U.S. Senate Majority
Leader Bill Frist, former U.S. Senator Fred Thompson, former Tennessee
Governor Don Sundquist, Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen, and former
Chancellor of Vanderbilt University Joe B. Wyatt.
