On September 23, 2002, the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University
dedicated the new Fisher Family Clinical Education Center for Communication
Disorders at the J. M. Ladge Speech and Hearing Center.
 |
| Students use the new
wing to prepare verbal and audio screening programs for
clients. |
|
The new wing was made possible by a generous donation from Long
Island residents Arlene and Daniel Fisher. Daniel Fisher is a graduate
of the Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University, while the couple's
son, Jeffrey, and daughter, Sharon, both graduated from C.W. Post.
It includes lab space with state-of-the-art computers, audio and
video tape recording and monitoring equipment, space for meetings,
records storage and more.
