on Long Island?
Attend the Real Estate Seminar at the C.W. Post Campus
on June 5
On Thursday, June 5, 2003, the Real Estate Practitioners
Institute of Long Island, based at the C.W. Post Campus of Long
Island University, and the Association for a Better Long Island
(A.B.L.I.) will present "Island of Change," a two-part
public panel discussion concerning many aspects of real estate on
Long Island.
In Part I of the panel discussion Michael Dubb of
the Beechwood Organization will discuss the future of residential
real estate; Robert Carlino of the Long Island Contractor's Association
will explore transportation issues; and James Morgo of the Long
Island Housing Partnership will address affordable housing.
The second half of the morning will feature James
Rigano of Certilman, Balin, Adler & Hyman discussing the redevelopment
of "brownfields" (contaminated or otherwise less desirable
properties); Neil Skiddel of Pan Gulf will speak about independent
power production; and Town of Brookhaven Commissioner Daniel Gulizio
will present a governments perspective on planning. The discussions
will be moderated by John Klein of Meyer, Suozzi, English &
Klein. A question and answer period will follow each session.
The program will run 9 a.m. to 12 noon; registration
and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m. The event will take
place in Hillwood Commons on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island
University, 720 Northern Boulevard (Route 25A) in Brookville. Advance
registration: $100; day of event: $150. Free admission to Long Island
University students with college ID. Three CEU credits will be offered
