Blood Drive Set for October 9 at C.W. Post

To help address the shortage of blood on Long Island, the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University will hold a blood drive for students, faculty, staff, alumni and the public on Thursday, October 9, 2003.

The drive will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Fishbowl, Hillwood Commons.

Later that evening, a blood drive will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. in Winnick Student Center.

For further information about blood donations, please contact Long Island Blood Services at 1-800-688-0900. Appointments are suggested, but walk-ins are welcome.

The C.W. Post Campus is located on Northern Boulevard (Route 25A) in Brookville.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Must have valid ID and know SS#
• Minimum weight 110lbs
• Between 17-76 years of age
• No tattoos in past 12 months
