Cold Spring Harbor Lab Executive to Speak on
Women’s Cancers at C.W. Post

October 5, 2004 - Jeffrey J. Picarello, an executive at the world-renowned Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, will speak on the lab’s advanced research into women’s cancers on Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Great Hall, Administration Building, on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. Admission is $5.

Picarello, who holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master of business administration from C.W. Post, is director of public affairs at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, one of the nation’s leading basic research institutions and a National Cancer Institute Basic Research Center. There, he is responsible for communicating news of the breakthrough cancer research to the lay public and for working with the many grassroots fundraising organizations that support the work of Cold Spring Harbor’s 330 scientists.
