C.W. Post Hosts 2004
Real Estate Symposium
Real estate market opportunities
and tax deferrals on properties will be the topics of discussion
at the 2004 spring seminar sponsored by Real Estate Practitioners
Institute of Long Island. The seminar will be held from 8:30
a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, June 3, 2004 in Hillwood Commons
Lecture Hall at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University.
The symposium, titled "Bulking
Up Your Equity: Market Opportunities and 1031 Exchanges," is
presented by the Real Estate Practitioners Institute of
Long Island (based at the C.W. Post Campus), the Association
for a Better Long Island and the Commercial Industrial Brokers
Society.
The panel of experts include Jock
OConnor, Senior Vice President of CB Richard Ellis Real
Estate Services; Robert T. Coughlan, Chairman of Tritec Real
Estate Company; Ernest DesRochers, Senior Vice President and
Regional Manager of Northmarq Capital; Brian P. McNulty, Senior
Vice President of Business Development for J.P. Morgan Property
Exchange, Inc.; Stephen M. Breitstone, Esq., Partner, Tax Law
Group of Meltzer, Lippe and Goldstein, LLP; Bruce S. MacDonald,
Senior Vice President of Net Lease Capital Advisors, Inc..
A question and answer period will
follow the program. The symposium will be held in Hillwood Commons
on the C.W. Post Campus, 720 Northern Blvd. (Route 25A), Brookville.
The fee of $100 includes continental breakfast and 3 continuing
education credits.
The Real Estate Practitioners
Institute of Long Island was founded in 1973 to serve the Long
Island real estate community. It provides continuing education
programs and host professional development seminars and networking
luncheons. The Real Estate Institute is part of the C.W. Post
Department of Continuing Education & Professional Studies.
