Joanne Graziano Named Executive Director of Admissions and Recruitment at C.W. Post

August 10, 2005 -- Joanne Graziano has been appointed Executive Director of Admissions and Recruitment at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University.

Graziano has served as Assistant Provost for Enrollment Services at C.W. Post since January 2003. Prior to that, she was the Director of the Office of Financial Assistance where she oversaw the distribution of more than $85 million in federal, state and university scholarship and grant funds.

In her new position as Executive Director of Admissions and Recruitment, Graziano will provide overall supervision for the recruitment of new freshmen, transfer, graduate and international students for all C.W. Post on- and off-campus programs. She will lead a staff of more than 40 employees, enhance Internet-based recruitment programs, manage on-campus open houses as well as coordinate the review of more than 11,000 applicants to C.W. Post each year. Her appointment takes effect August 15, 2005.

As Assistant Provost for Enrollment Services, Graziano supervised the Winter Session, Summer Semester Programs, and Summer Institutes. She increased enrollment in these programs by expanding course offerings and creating new promotional opportunities.

Graziano came to C.W. Post after serving for nine years as the associate director of financial aid at St. John’s University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from St. John’s and a Master of Business Administration in finance from C.W. Post.
