2005 Real Estate Practitioners Institute (REPI) Symposium

October 18, 2005 – Brookville, NY – On Thursday, November 10, the Real Estate Practitioner’s Institute of Long Island, based at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, will present its annual symposium. The theme of this year’s conference is “Re-Thinking Land Use” on Long Island.   The symposium will feature a keynote address by Kathleen Camilli, President of Camilli Economics, LLC, and a two-part panel discussion concerning land use, workforce housing initiatives, housing for the next generation, zoning issues, and the effects of the housing shortage on the market for office space. The discussions will be moderated by Charles Zehren, Deputy Editor at Newsday. Panel members include:

  • Jan Burman, President, Engel-Burman Group
  • Thomas Sullivan, Senior Real Estate Project Manager, Northrop Grumman Corp.
  • Herbert Agin, CEO, Sutton & Edwards, Inc.
  • Donald Eversoll, President, Eversoll Associates, LLC
  • Daniel Gulizio, Land-Use Consultant

The event will begin with registration and continental breakfast at 8 a.m. with the program    running from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The symposium will take place in Hillwood Commons on the  C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, 720 Northern Boulevard (Route 25A) in Brookville. Registration: $60. Admission is free for Long Island University students with college ID. Three CEU credits will be offered for the full program (approval pending).
