Real Estate Practitioner’s Institute Luncheon to be Held May 19

The expansion of Apollo Real Estate Advisors on Long Island will be the topic of discussion at the 2005 Spring Luncheon sponsored by Real Estate Practitioners Institute of Long Island.

Richard J. Mack, Managing Partner of Apollo Real Estate Investment Funds of Apollo Real Estate Advisors will be the guest speaker at the symposium, titled "Apollo Real Estate Advisors: Over $20 Billion in Global Investments ‘Why Are They Focused on Expanding on Long Island?’"

Mack is responsible for new investments and investment management in the United States. The combined funds have raised over $4.7 billion. Previously, Mack was a member of the Real Estate Investment Banking Department at Shearson Lehman Hutton. He serves as a director of ARCap REIT Inc., a subordinate Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities company and on the Advisory Board of Mercantile Capital, a fund targeted at investments in the retail and merchandising industries.

Apollo Real Estate Advisors has been one of the foremost private real estate investors for more than a decade. William Mack, whose 40 years in real estate have made him a leading figure in the industry, founded Apollo Real Estate in 1993 in cooperation with the Apollo private equity funds. The company is a private partnership of real estate professionals with a rare blend of hands-on real estate experience and sophisticated capital markets expertise. Apollo has overseen the investment of eight real estate funds and joint ventures, through which it has invested in more than 200 transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $20 billion. With offices in New York, London, Los Angeles and Chicago, the Apollo Real Estate funds target a broad range of opportunistic investments in real estate assets and portfolios throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.

The luncheon will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at the Milleridge Cottage in Jericho. The fee is $50 and reservations are required.
