New Cafe Set to Open in Library

The B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library will soon have its own cafe, offering coffee, sandwiches, salads, sushi, snacks and sweets. Besides being a convenient place to tame those mid-research hunger pangs, the Bookmark Cafe will add a social dimension to the library, says Jacqueline Elsas, assistant dean for reference services. “We want students to come here to spend quality time and to socialize,” Elsas said. The Bookmark Cafe is expected to be open by the start of the spring 2007 semester.
