Linda L. Vila Named Associate Dean of C.W. Post College of Management

Linda L. Vila of Yorktown has been appointed associate dean of the College of Management at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, New York.

Vila brings her extensive expertise and experience in the fields of law, risk management, public administration and education to her new position. As associate dean, she will work to ensure the strength of C.W. Post’s AACSB accredited College of Management, which offers the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree, a dual Juris Doctor/M.B.A. with Touro Law Center, and 5-year accelerated programs in business administration and accountancy.

Vila joined the faculty of C.W. Post in 1997 as an assistant adjunct professor and has served as an assistant professor since 2004, teaching in the Department of Health Care and Public Administration Master's program. She also taught at Brooklyn College, City University of New York, from 1996 to 2000.

In addition to her roles at C.W. Post, Vila is an attorney with Kuczinski, Vila and Associates, LLP, a firm providing consultation and litigation services in New York. During her professional career, Vila has been assistant vice president of risk management and quality improvement for Continuum Health Partners, Inc. at Long Island College Hospital and director of quality, risk and utilization management at St. Barnabas Hospital.

Vila earned a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hunter College of City University of New York. She is a graduate of The Leadership Institute Executive Development Program, City of New York, Mayor’s Office of Operations and a member of the New York State, Brooklyn and Westchester Bar Associations, the American Society for Public Administration, American Health Lawyers Association, and the American College of Health Care Executives.

The College of Management is also home to the School of Professional Accountancy, which offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in accountancy and taxation, and the School of Public Service, which has degrees in criminal justice, health care administration, public administration and social work.
