College of Information and Computer Science Unveils
Revolutionary Online Career Management Tool for Students and Alumni

March 30, 2006 – Brookville, N.Y. – Membership in CICS CareerPath, a revolutionary new career management service, is now available free of charge to students and alumni of the College of Information and Computer Science at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University.

CICS CICS CareerPath (Powered by Nav Agility), is an interactive, online service that enables students, recent graduates and professionals to manage their academic and career portfolios as they move through the educational and employment processes.

CICS CareerPath is operated by the NavAgility® Talent Visualization System. It provides web-based career management capabilities through high-tech visualization, identification and analysis of career paths. It enables users to visualize their unique career experiences and opportunities through customized Career Assessment, Career Exploration and Personal Marketing web modules. Participants may choose to remain anonymous while keeping their talents in the marketplace. Members also can view other members’ career paths and learn of possibilities they may not have considered.

College students will be using CICS CareerPath to document and present their course work, major projects and internship experiences as well as explore their career options and assess their interests and capabilities. New graduates of the College of Information and Computer Science will use the online system to investigate various career paths and post resumes and other information for review by prospective employers. Alumni of the College will have access to the site’s extensive resources for advanced career management and assessment.

“CICS CareerPath is a sophisticated tool that will benefit all sides of the equation: students, graduates, working professionals and employers from the information management and technology industries,” said John J. Regazzi, dean of the College of Information and Computer Science at C.W. Post. “Our graduates are ready to make businesses and institutions more productive and profitable. CICS CareerPath will demonstrate how much they have to offer.”
