School of
Education Offers Expanded Evening
Advisement for Graduate Education Majors
Brookville, N.Y. - Students who work full-time while pursuing master's
degrees in education at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University
can now meet with their academic advisers on weekday evenings, campus
officials announced.
Graduate advisement is now available between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Monday through Thursday. While appointments are suggested, students
may also walk-in or phone during these new hours to receive personalized
academic counseling and help with course selection.
"Many of our students work full-time while earning their master's
degrees," said Dr. Robert Manheimer, dean of the School of
Education at C.W. Post. "Finding time to meet with their academic
counselors is sometimes difficult. Evening advisement will make
it much easier for these students to stay on track to completion
of their degrees."
Academic advisement is also offered on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5
p.m. Students can also take advantage of late hours in the Admissions,
Financial Assistance and Bursar offices, which are open Monday through
Thursday until 8 p.m.
