C.W. Post Community Runs for Hunger Relief

C.W. Post students and faculty will give hunger a run for the money when they join together for the sixth annual Turkey Trot on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 3:30 p.m.

Sponsored by the Health and Physical Education Majors Club and the Pratt Recreation Center, the Turkey Trot asks participants to donate food or paper goods, which will be brought to a local food pantry, as their entry fee. The event features a 5K race and the option to run or walk one mile at the Pratt Recreation Center located on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville.

On race day, registration will be held at the Pratt Recreation Center from 1 to 3 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded to first place male and female finishers, male and female athlete, and male and female faculty/staff. There will also be a lottery drawing to determine the prize for one mile walk and one mile run participants.
