Family Ties: Mann Family of Bellport Celebrates as
Mom and Daughter Graduate from C.W. Post

Brookville, NY -- If the admissions office at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University ever runs out of tour guides, they should call on the Mann family of Bellport.

Don Mann, the father, has worked on the campus in the Information Technology Office for 18 years. This Mother’s Day, May 13, 2007 when the Campus celebrates its commencement exercise, his wife, Augell, will graduate with an M.S. in Nursing and their eldest daughter, Deidra, will graduate with a B.S. in Childhood Education. His son, Josh, is a freshman at C.W. Post, majoring in pharmacy. His other three children, ages 14, 12, and 8, have practically grown up on Campus and plan to attend the university when they graduate high school.

“C.W. Post is a part of our family,” Don Mann says. “My kids know all the history of the Campus. It’s a part of their lives.”

The Class of 2007 includes 964 baccalaureate degree candidates, 1,832 master's degree candidates, 14 graduates receiving the Psy.D. in clinical psychology and 5 receiving the Ph.D. in information studies.
