Post Theatre Company Presents: The HFS Effect
An original performance based on new psychological research experiments

The Post Theatre Company, the not-for-profit resident theatre company of the Department of Theatre, Film and Dance on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, is proud to present three performances by senior theatre major Julia Tokarcik, as part of her undergraduate honors thesis.  The HFS Effect will run from February 8-10 at 8 p.m.  The production will be staged in C.W. Post's Little Theatre Rifle Range.

An original undergraduate honors thesis production, The HFS Effect examines the relationship between fear and truth to discover what happens when we come face to face with some of the darkest parts of the human psyche. The production will use material collected from Tokarcik’s research experiment, The Unvoiced Demons Project, which collected anonymous confessions from individuals all over the country. The confessions are spliced together, juxtaposed, and dissected to form the script for this exciting, at times disturbing, piece of theatre.  Audiences will leave analyzing both themselves and human nature.

Tickets for The HFS Effect are $10 for the general public, and $5 for students and seniors, general admission seating.  For more information on the performances, or to purchase tickets, call the Post Theatre Company Box Office at (516) 299-2356 or e-mail ptc@liu.edu.  All proceeds will benefit a scholarship fund for C.W. Post theatre students.

The C.W. Post Campus is located at 720 Northern Boulevard (Route 25A) between Glen Cove Road and Route 107.  Parking is free.
