Want the Real Story on College Life? Read C.W. Post's Student Blogs

Students at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University are documenting their life on Campus through new student blogs that debuted in September. Five students, one admissions counselor, and the campus mascot make periodic journal entries about the ups, downs, ins and outs of life on a college campus. They share funny stories, study habits, exam anxieties, people they've met, events they've attended and other personal experiences.

The five student bloggers are Nick Cracco, a senior from Melville, NY who majors in psychology; Justin LaFantano, a senior from Tinmouth, VT who majors in social work; Danielle Apfelbaum, a senior from Wantagh, NY who majors in English; Kayla Krause, a freshman journalism major from Mattapoisett, MA and Britni Jackson, a senior from Camp Springs, MD who majors in psychology. Andrew Akapnitis, assistant director of freshman admissions, also posts a blog offering advice and tips and answering questions about the admissions process. Even Sir Lancelot the Ocelot, the campus' fuzzy mascot, is getting into the act, posting his own thoughts about the recreational side of life at C.W. Post and sharing news of campus events.

"Blogs are a very important connection between prospective students and current students," said John McLoughlin, associate director of admissions. "Students interested in attending C.W. Post come away with an unfiltered view directly from the people who experience it everyday."

In addition to reading the everyday musings of the C.W. Post bloggers, prospective students are invited to e-mail them questions and receive a response within 24 hours. Meet the C.W. Post bloggers at www.liu.edu/cwpblogs.
