Scholar of the Month

East Setauket resident Amanda Buchhalter, a graduate of Suffolk County Community College , was awarded the C.W. Post 2007-08 Transfer Excellence Award for $9,000 to the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville. An honors student, Buchhalter is pursuing a bachelor's degree in nutrition. Presenting the award is (from left) Dr. Frances Gizis , chair of the Nutrition Department, and Dr. Joseph Shenker , provost of the C.W. Post Campus. C.W.
