New C.W. Post Ambulance Christened at Wet-Down Ceremony
Brookville, N.Y. – A $100,000 special legislative award from New York State has funded a new ambulance that will provide immediate on-campus care to all students, staff, faculty and visitors to the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. The new emergency service vehicle was made possible through a special legislative award secured by New York State Senator Carl L. Marcellino of the 5th Senate District.
Dedicated on Saturday, April 12, 2008 outside Lorber Hall, the ambulance will be used by the C.W. Post Emergency Medical Service, a team of C.W. Post students who are New York State-certified Emergency Medical Technicians. They assist all members of the C.W. Post community, including more than 9,200 students, 355 faculty members, hundreds of support staff and administrators as well as attendees at any events on Campus such as visitors to Tilles Center for the Performing Arts and athletic contests.
