Deadline to Apply for C.W. Post Graduate Scholarships Extended to August 1
Brookville, N.Y. – The C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University has extended the deadline to apply for scholarships designed to help those pursuing master’s degrees. The scholarships for graduate study can be applied to the Fall semester which begins Tuesday, September 2.
Incoming graduate students applying for their first or second master’s degree may qualify for the Graduate Scholars Award -- a $125 grant per credit if they have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better based on all work in their most recent degree program. Likewise, incoming graduate students applying for their first or second master’s degree may receive a $75 grant per credit if they have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 - 3.74 based on all work in their most recent degree program with the Graduate Academic Award. Neither of these awards is applicable to doctoral programs however, for students who already hold a Ph.D, J.D., Ed.D. or other doctorate, transcripts from their M.S. or B.S. degree programs will be used to determine scholarship eligibility.
Incoming graduate students applying for their first master’s degree and who previously earned their bachelor’s degree from any Long Island University campus may qualify for the Graduate Alumni Award -- a one time, one semester $1,000 scholarship. Long Island University alumni applying for this award must have completed their undergraduate degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Students must apply by August 1 in order to be considered for the Fall semester, December 1 for the Spring semester and April 1 for the Summer semester. All scholarship amounts are subject to terms and conditions. Individuals applying for awards should contact the C.W.
