Student Studies Animal Behavior

Kathy Sotolotto, who graduated in May from Southampton College of Long Island University with a degree in psychobiology, recently interned at the Long Marine Lab at UC Santa Cruz.

A resident of Enfield, C.T., Sotolotto helped with animal safety, record keeping, diet preparation, facilities operations, water quality analysis, and animal husbandry.

She has interned at the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program, a wild dolphin field study in Costa Rica, and The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation. She hopes to work with marine mammals.
