How Did They Build the Great Pyramid?
Egyptologist Bob Brier brings you deep inside the Great Pyramid of Giza to answer one of the greatest archaeological mysteries of all times.
In this illustrated lecture, Dr. Brier presents evidence to support a new theory by French architect Jean Pierre Houdin that the pyramid was built from the inside using a mile-long ramp to raise the blocks to the top. The ramp is still hidden in the pyramid waiting to be uncovered! Dr. Brier also will show the first public photographs of a secret room he discovered high up on the Pyramid's north-east corner.
Bob Brier is senior research fellow at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University and host of the National Geographic Channel special "Unlocking the Great Pyramid." His new book, "The Secret of the Great Pyramid," (Smithsonian Press, 2008) will be available for signing after the lecture.
