C.W. Post Celebrates Homecoming and Family Day Saturday, October 18
Brookville’s Mayor Goodwin to Serve as Grand Marshal

Brookville, N.Y. -- Richard P. Goodwin, Mayor of Brookville, will serve as grand marshal of the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University’s Homecoming and Family Day on Saturday, October 18. 2008. The fall festival, tailgate tent Party and barbecue, all held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature festivities for all ages, including amusement park rides, ponies, a petting zoo and clowns. The football game kicks off at noon at Hickox Field with the C.W. Post Pioneers playing the Millersville University Marauders. During the half-time festivities Mayor Goodwin will announce the 2008 C.W. Post Pride Award recipients. The Post Pride Award is given to a student who exemplifies school spirit and a commitment to community service.

“Homecoming and Family Day at C.W. Post is truly a community event and having Mayor Goodwin serve as grand marshal makes it even more so,” said Jennifer Fitzpatrick, director of Community Relations at the C.W. Post Campus. Mayor Goodwin has served as Brookville’s mayor since 1992.

The public is welcome to attend. Admission to the barbecue, which includes the football game and activities, is $16 for adults; $8 for children under 8 years of age and free for children 3 and under.
