How sweet is home if we never take the time to notice? Indiana native Norbert Krapf has spent half his life researching and writing about his hometown of Jasper, Indiana and his German roots.

Let Dr. Krapf's voice take you on a journey to the midwest as he recites poetry from his latest work, "Bloodroot: Indiana Poems."

Dr. Norbert Krapf, the Poet Laureate of Indiana and C.W. Post Professor Emeritus of English, will present "The Music of Words: Sweet Home Indiana" on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 7:30 p.m., Pioneer Room, Hillwood Commons, C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University.

The event is sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Department of English, John P. McGrath Fund of Long Island University, C.W. Post Poetry Center, and Poets and Writers, Inc.

Admission is free. The public is invited.
